Item Description: Royal Jordanian Order of Independence (Wisam al-Istiqlal) French-Made. The Wisam al-Istiqlal was established by Emir Hussein I ibn Ali in 1921, as an award for civilian or military merit while he was ruler of the Hejaz. In 1924, ibn Saud ousted Hussein and founded what became the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hussein fled to Cyprus and later settled in Amman, his son Abdullah having become Emir of Transjordan in 1921. The Order was adopted by the Emirate (later Kingdom) of Transjordan. Abdullah became King Abdullah I and the current King of Jordan is his great-grandson. The Order continues to be awarded. Original Badge for Flight Mechanics, so called”Balloon Badge” of the Yugoslav Royal Air Force. The period around 1937 to 1941. Silver gilt, partly enameled, hallmarked. Royal Yugoslavia Balloon Pilot Badge by Kovnica Sorlini with maker mark KS (Kovnica Sorlini, Varadin). The badge features a central balloon bag with the Kingdom S. Yugoslav shield, two machine-guns, propeller and engine. These are flanked by lightning bolts and bombs. The lower part of the badge is framed with a wreath. Complete with retaining nuts, in slightly worn condition, extreme rare and thus expensive. Badge in silver gilt, partly enameled, 38,5 mm width and 53,5 mm height, numbered on reverse 280, hallmarked on reverse KS, along rooster mark for silver. See photos for details. Serbia-Royal Yugoslav Air Force Dress Dagger Model M. Product manufacture “Fran Sorlini Varazdin”. 1937 carrying officers and non-commissioned officers (officers and NCOs) Air Force of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Handle dagger made of wood in the form of thread. The hand grip is coated with a thin skin, the native dark blue almost black. The thread is inserted into a twisted wire. The head is made of nickel-plated brass in the form of a stylized flower crown. The crosspiece is made of nickel-plated brass in the form of aviation propeller. On the back side has a button for locking the dagger in its sheath. The blade is a two-edged diamond section decorated with etched ornaments. On the one hand, between curly ornaments is a Cyrillic letter P. A companion by a curly decorations is the national emblem of the double-headed eagle and crown Karadjordjevic above. The covers are made of steel sheet coated with a dark blue almost black natural leather. On the cover are secured three nickel-plated decorative fittings. On the upper and middle decorative fittings, cover welded the two rings to the pendulum By hanging on. On the upper ferrule applied the relief pilot character. Sorlinija, is the same number 40. The inner cover has two leaf springs so-called punch blades.
