RCAMC Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps Officer’s Mess Uniform – Pre World War 2 – VERY RARE. This Officer’s Mess Uniform was tailored in January, 1934 for Dr. RC Montgomery of Toronto, then serving as a Captain in the pre-war Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. He went on to serve as a senior Officer in England in the Canadian General Hospital unit during the war, treating both Allied soldiers, civilians, and more than a few German POWs. Tailored by Sainthill-Levine & Co. In Toronto, the uniform is wool and satin with cotton lining in the tunic and trousers. Black with burgundy elements — lapels, epaulettes, lapels, vest, etc. – it is a historical artifact of a bygone era. It is in beautiful condition and very rare.
