This is an example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Shin Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a hand-forged blade which wears a cutting edge that measures 26 1/2 inches in length. The blade remains healthy with some minor surface blemishes and a few tiny nicks to the cutting edge, nevertheless is in nice condition and boasts a lovely large temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The well signed tang wears characters which translate to “BIZEN NAGAMITSU “. Although tight, the hilt is darkly stained however, all the fittings remain nice and the scabbard had some scuffing to the finish but does remain in good serviceable condition and has no dings. This is a very nice example of a nicely detailed Romantic style German Dagger Dirk made by Gerb. Becker Solingen that dates from the mid 20th Century. It is mounted with a beautiful blade which measures 5 inches in length that remains in very nice original condition and continues to wear very nice, clear markings on either side. The gilded bronze hilt and scabbard are fabulously high relief detailed and remain in excellent condition as well with a rich aged patina now developed. This is a good example of a well made Japanese Army Officer’s Shin Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a lovely arsenal machine made blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 26 1/4 inches in length and remains in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The tang wears the signature ” KANETSADA saku” on one side and a date that translates to “Showa juhachinen kugatsu”Showa 18th year (1943)September on the other side. All the fittings remain nice and clean however the wrapping has a bit of fraying near the top but does remain tightly in place. This is a variation and a good example of a Japanese Army NCO Shin-Gunto Sword differentiated by the black steel guard (tsuba). It is mounted with a cast aluminum hilt painted to resemble the Officer’s pattern which remains very nice, still wearing some of the original paint. The machine made blade measures 26 1/4 inches in length and although is lightly stained, remains in good condition and wears a MATCHING number to the scabbard. This is a good example of a War Time Era Japanese Sword carried by an Army Officer during World War II. It is mounted with an ancestral, streamline KOTO blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 25 1/2 inches in length. The blade has survived in nice condition with a lovely straight temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The blade has some scratches and surface blemishes as well as has a small parallel opening crack on the cutting edge near the tip. The tang wears two holes and shows to have been cleaned with fitted during the war. All the fittings remain very nice and clean in their condition. The leather combat covered wooden scabbard wears two carrying rings and remains in very nice serviceable condition. Overall, the Sword measures 37 1/2 inches in length. This is a good example of a Japanese Holster, Model 34 for a type 94 Pistol. It has survived well reflecting only good honest wear and with all the nice chestnut brown leather still healthy as well as with all the stitching still tightly intact. This is a very nice example of a rare and desirable custom RANDALL Fighting Knife which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a blade that measures 7 7/8 inches in length. The blade reflects good honest wear with crude sharpening scratches that could easily be removed in the right hand if desired. The markings RANDALL MADE Spfld. Do however remain very nice and clear. The leather ringed hilt also shows that it has been well used but does remain healthy in its condition as well. This Knife is wearing a Mosser type scabbard that remains in excellent condition with all the stitching still tightly intact. The sharpening stone is long gone. This is a good example of a Japanese D-Guard Army Officer’s Kyu Gunto Sword. It is mounted with an ancestral blade that wears a cutting edge of 19 inches in length. The blade although is in need of a professional polish, does remain in good condition with just some minor openings but no cracks and no bends. The tang wears two holes and shows to have been shortened leaving only a portion of the signature Omidajo Fuji? The large D-guard remains in nice condition with some of the original gild still present and is enhanced with a silver family mon on the backstrap. The beautiful white rayskin covered hilt is a bit damaged near the peg hole, otherwise remains very healthy in its condition and a small portion of the original twisted wire wrap is still present.
