Wonderful Large Bronze & Wood 1922 USNA Annapolis Class Plaque. ARTIFACT: Wonderful, large bronze and wood 1922 United States Naval Academy Annapolis class plaque by Bailey, Banks, and Biddle Co. The large bronze center shows an eagle with wings spread perched atop an anchor with a trident rising behind and set between two crossed swords. The centerpiece is affixed to a thick, dark stained wood plaque and the reverse shows the original paper sticker. SIZE: Approximately 11″ x 14″; Bronze 8-1/8″ x 8-7/8″. CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Wood, plated bronze, paper. ATTACHMENT: Hook for hanging. MARKINGS: BAILEY, BANKS, AND BIDDLE CO. PHILADELPHIA 1832 paper sticker on reverse. ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Naval Academy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): The wood plaque shows moderate wear mostly to edges, much of the plated details remain, overall handsome patina.
