Complete Set, Red, White, Silk Sash with Medal to Bottom 41 mm x 48 mm. Enamel, Gold over Silver. The Breast Badge 63 mm x 63 mm. Solid Silver Plated with Gold. Highest Award given By General Franco to Generals of the German Luftwaffe and Other German Forces During the Spanish Civil War. Gilt-edged White enamel Greek cross on swivel crown suspension; the face with an imposed circular central medallion in red, white enamel and gilt metal bearing an escutcheon quarterly of Castile and Leon with Granada overall. The Order was created by Queen Isabel II in 1864 for military merit. The cross is of white enamel in times of peace, and of red in times of war. This is from the period 1938 to 1943.
