Nice Rare Japanese Naval Prison Guard And Shore Patrol Sword
This is a nice example of a highly sought after, rare and seldom encountered Japanese Naval Prison and Shore Patrol Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 21 1/2 inches in length which remains nice in its condition with only light staining with a few small blemishes. The very nice guard is accentuated with an engraved anchor on the backstrap and frames a healthy leather wrapped hilt that still wears its original twisted wire wrap securely in place. The metal scabbard is also adorned with an engraved anchor at the base and remains very nice as well with no dings and only minor flaking to its plating. Overall measuring 30 7/8 inches in length.
